Ridge Soaring
Conditions sometimes produce a little lift along this ridge. It rises steeply about 1600' above Capay valley along the NW side. Even with only modest ridge lift, it is dramatic to fly along the ridge crest, the ground close and detailed on one side, while dropping off way below to the valley just by glancing out the other side of the cockpit.
