Some of my mods to the standard Kolb KXP during initial construction
(all minor):

- installed BRS inside the cabin behind seat. There is a slightly
pregnant bulge on the starboard side where the BRS can is. I added
an AL brace to the cage to keep the stits fabric mostly off the BRS.
Moved gas tank up above BRS on bracket of my own making.
- inspection covers on wing covering -- at drag spar/lift strut
attachment and on wing root to be able to peak inside or let wing
ventilate during storage. I can get a wrench up over to the top
of the spar/lift strut bolt to check for tightness if I want to.
- dipped all rivets in rustoleum paint before setting -- also dabbed
  tops before covering.
- syringed small amount of elastic epoxy between rib flanges and main
spar to reduce potential wear from vibration -- maybe unnecessary.
Also added some soft elastic epoxy between steel drag strut braces
and ribs to avoid vibration wear.
- screwed seat down instead of rivet so can replace w/out leaving rivet
ends inside the steel tube frame.
- used locktight and screws to retain hinge-pins on control surface
attachment so I can more easily remove control surfaces if needed.
- nylon cord and pulley instead of springs for rudder pedals
- shortened fuselage by 3" to fit in garage and to improve W&B for 155
lb. pilot. Shortening to fit in the garage was dumb as I forgot
at the time (duh) that the wings stick out farther than the fuselage.
I still fit, but it is very close.
- Customized some covering aspects between front and back of cage.
- Warp drive high aspect planform 66" prop, grnd adj.
- Lexan gap seal instead of std nylon zipped one.
