Engine Mount, top front view looking aft
Making the engine mount: Two aluminum plates -- front and back -- are made for the engine mount studs. The plates,in turn,are mounted to the Lord shock mounts on the airplane frame. In this pic, I use a plywood dummy for the stud postion on the engine, in order to match the hole positions to the aluminum plates. (A drill bit is in one of the engine mount holes and you can barely see the forward AL plate bolted to the front two Lord mounts (black) on the airframe.)
