More Construction Technique
This shows a couple of construction techniques I found helpful.
(This happens to be the corner of an aileron):
1. Use of fishing line pulled tight along pieces that you need to
check for straightness during construction. (They may tend to
curve as you add ribs.) The fishing line is held off the
part by a toothpick at each end.
2. As per plans recommendation, you layout the frame markings on the
workbench. Barely visible, I sometimes used a hot-glue gun (instead
of nails or screws next to the AL) to hold parts to the table.
3. Red paint on the rivets is rustoleum paint. Dipping each rivet
before setting is an easy way to insure against future corrosion.
